Phenom National Camp - Year 3!

Grip Spritz heads to the 26th Phenom National Camp!

We are back from a jam-packed two weeks of basketball in Los Angeles!

The Phenom National Camp brings basketball players worldwide to Southern California for a full weekend of competition, education, and feedback!

What is Phenom Basketball?

Phenom is in its 26th year hosting its national camp. What started as a few guys with an idea to bring together the best youth talent from across the globe has grown into two weekends (soon to be three) of high-level basketball.

Athletes from rising 4th graders up to soon to be high school seniors travel from all over to see how they stack up.

This summer, players from 46 states, 12 countries, and 5 continents made the trip to Los Angeles to see what Phenom is all about.

193 boys and 63 girls from the camp currently play in the NBA or WNBA!  Names such as Karl Anthony-Towns, Trae Young, Ja Morant, Lamelo Ball, Zion Williamson, and Kelsey Plum have all been alumni of Phenom!

This camp is no joke! That’s why their motto is, “Where players become known”!

Why was Grip Spritz there?

Well, when high-level basketball is happening, you know we’re coming to town!

Three years ago, Phenom brought us on as a partner. We make the trip every summer! We joined Nike, Gatorade, Ball Dawgs, and Disney. Pretty elite group! 

Before Grip Spritz, they were just throwing sticky pads down and forgetting about it. We were able to come in and make it an experience for them to simply add grip to their basketball shoes.

Between traction mats, a set up at the hotel players were staying at, and individual shoe grip spray bottles everywhere, it definitely wasn’t the old, boring sticky pads! 

When players compete at this high level, a slip can be game-changing!

Grip Spritz ensures players have grip on older basketball shoes, dusty courts, or a combo of both!

What’s next for Phenom and Grip Spritz?

We have plenty more in store for hoopers!

We can say next year we will be back in LA with an added weekend for even more kids!
