Who uses Grip Spritz?

Grip Spritz is used by over 1,300 high school and college teams and 50,000+ athletes in over 40 countries!

We are constantly posting about our travel, events, and partnerships we’re making. This is how we get so many basketball teams (with hundreds more coming) to switch from their SlippNott sticky pad to our Grip Spritz traction mat!

Players

We’ve shifted a bit in how we travel. Back in 2019, parts of 2020, and early 2021, we were spending every weekend at AAU events across the Midwest. 

This was for two reasons. First, we didn’t know any better. We didn’t know coaches clinics and athletic director conferences were happening. Secondly, we didn’t have a traction mat fully developed yet.

As time progressed, we met new people, learned about new events, and got our courtside traction pad ready, we started to shift.

We still do two main events each summer. Run4Roses in Louisville and Phenom in LA. These events have been staples of Grip Spritz for so long and we have such great relationships with both, we will always be there!

From time to time we still pop in on local AAU events in and around Cleveland to give out product and test new projects we have coming up.

Now, we’re approaching 100,000 players worldwide using Grip Spritz! A lot of this comes from social media and making it incredibly easy to get. You can get our basketball shoe grip spray on our website, Amazon Prime, Etsy, eBay, Walmart.com, and the TikTok Shop currently.

We’re in the midst of getting Grip Spritz even more readily available through our work with Sports Inc. Your local sporting good store could have Grip Spritz very soon!

High School and College Basketball Teams

As we made the shift from AAU events to state high school basketball coaches associations, athletic director conferences, and even the Men’s and Women’s Final Fours, we began making a splash at the team level. 

These consume a ton of our fall and spring. We will travel to somewhere around 35 states for these events. Sometimes even 5 states in 5 days!

We’re not complaining at all, though! This has amplified the Grip Spritz name in the basketball world like crazy.

Schools in all 50 states use Grip Spritz as their traction mat of choice. It’s pretty easy to see why, too!

It’s about half the price of a SlippNott sticky pad. School budgets are tight, so saving $150 is massive.

Coaches have zero in game maintenance with Grip Spritz. When you use a SlippNott, coaches either have to peel off sticky sheets all game or let their players and hope the don’t accidentally peel off 5 sheets at once. It happens and it’s an expensive mistake!

Grip Spritz produces zero plastic waste! Think about how many plastic sheets are thrown away each year just from basketball programs all over. It’s a huge number, we did the math on our sustainability concept.

Of the teams using Grip Spritz (what we’ve gotten word of) we have had 14 state final four teams, 6 state runner ups, and 1 state champ! Shoutout the Desoto Lady Eagles!

After debuting our newest ‘Elite’ traction mat at the Women’s Final Four in April, you will definitely be seeing Grip Spritz more on TV! We can’t wait to release the names of some of the colleges we have on board!

AAU Organizations

Speaking of TV time, Grip Spritz was seen on ESPN when the 2024 Nike EYBL Girl’s National Champions, CyFair Elite, played! 

We’ve worked with some pretty large, nationally recognized AAU groups in the last year. Definitely feels cool knowing teams that can afford more and have new shoes whenever they need, still see the value in Grip Spritz!

They all about making basketball more accessible for youth athletes. They commit to helping their communities. They do so much off the court! We love working with them all for reasons bigger than basketball.

International Basketball, Volleyball, and Much More

Basketball is a global game! Athletes and teams in 42 countries use Grip Spritz! 

All of North America, most of Europe, Africa, Asia, Central, and South America!

What we didn’t expect was all the sports outside of basketball and volleyball that would jump in on the idea.

Badminton, Futsal, Wrestling, Fencing, Tennis, Pickleball, you name it!

We’re excited to work with international groups much more closely this year to match what we’re doing here in the US.

Time will tell, but in 4 years and some change, that’s a lot of players using Grip Spritz!
