Do I need a Grip Spritz Rag?
You don’t need the Grip Spritz ‘Spritz Mitt’ but you do need to dry your basketball shoes with a cotton towel after applying Grip Spritz.
If players ever find Grip Spritz not working as well as they had hoped, it usually comes down to them not drying the basketball shoes off after spraying.
Drying the soles of the shoes off really well with a cotton towel makes a massive difference!
It takes all that dust and dirt off the soles of the shoes and softens the rubber. But, if you don’t dry it, it’s not different than stepping on a wet spot on the court. It’ll be a bit slippery until it fully dries by itself.
Our Grip Spritz ‘Spritz Mitt’ works so well because it serves two purposes. First, it’s cotton, like you need, and it’s designed to fit your hand in to make wiping the the shoes dry super easy. Secondly, it’s the perfect size to put your bottle of Grip Spritz into before throwing the pouch back into your backpack. Everything stays together for next time you need better grip on your basketball shoes!
