21 Game - Conditioning
Basketball players sometimes need to take their conditioning more seriously. If you want to play at the college level, their conditioning is way worse than anything you've gone through at the high school level.
Conditioning can be something other than down and backs, 17s, etc. You can also get actual skill work into your training.
21 Game - Conditioning
The 21 game isn't going to only keep you moving, it's going to work on your shot as you become more and more tired. When the basketball feels a bit heavier and your legs start feeling like jello!
This is going to make conditioning way more manageable.
Start with the basketball at half-court and start a timer!
The goal is to get 21 points as quickly as possible.
3 Pointer = 3 Points
Mid Range = 2 Points
Layup - 1 Point
After each shot, make or miss, rebound the basketball and sprint to half-court. After touching the line, come back and repeat the same process until you've successfully scored 21 points.
See what your time was!
You can do this individually and work to beat your best time or grab a teammate or friend and compete head to head who can finish quicker.
This drill covers conditioning, shooting, and shooting while you're tired. It's a great drill to increase your level of conditioning without feeling like you're just running sprints!
